FAQs

  • Dogs of all ages and breeds are welcome here at ASCENDK9.

Banned breeds must however be exempt and owners ensuring they adhere to applicable law, such as use of muzzles and specified length of lead.

  • Group classes are for current ASCENDK9 clients who have completed at least one private lesson.

Those interested in participating in group classes must have completed at least one private lesson to ensure you are set up to succeed in a group training environment.

Once you have completed your first private lesson, I will advise you on what next steps to take, whether you are ready for group classes and if so, which type would be most beneficial for you and your dog.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. There is no strict or set amount of lessons/classes required, as every dog is unique! The amount of lessons/classes needed depends on your dogs' level of training and your own goals.

I recommend regularly attending a mix of both private lessons and group classes for the best progress overall.

  • Home visits are available depending on your location. Additional costs are applied based on fuel and travel time.

  • Yes, reactive dogs can and do attend my group classes. As an advocate for reactive dogs, I have a strict "no greeting" policy for dogs attending the class. ASCENDK9 group classes are structured to ensure they are a safe space for reactive dogs and their owners to train and succeed with confidence.

  • If you have two or more dogs that require training, you can either contact me directly to organise back to back private lessons, or we can split a one hour private lesson to cater to all dogs.

If you have more than one dog, training should be carried out separately to begin with.

  • Virtual lessons are a good option for new clients to discuss their requirements in detail.

If you have specific questions, need pointers or general advice, a virtual lesson is a perfect start.

In-person private lessons allow me to meet yourself and your dog in person, assess behaviour and put together a plan on how to move forward to meet your training goals.
